Alex Cherry is a self-taught, Los Angeles based artist heavily inspired by music and pop culture with an eclectic body of work and yet a style that is unmistakable. From comments on society, eye-catching stencil work, to surreal digital cityscapes and more; his art offers a little something for everyone.
He began his artistic venture as a rebel teenager looking for an outlet that suited his inner-city roots. He enrolled in an art school summer session in New York to find his artistic voice. After being told by a professor he should choose a different career path and painting was not in his cards, he set off disheartened but motivated to find the "back door" to his dream of becoming an artist. His love for technology led him to find adobe suites as his new obsession, where he mixed existing digital media, some paint and a natural eye for composition to create some of his most dynamic and notable pieces to date.
With these skills in place, Alex moved on to work as an editor for director David Fincher and more on films such as "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." He has since quit his job with Paramount Pictures to pursue his
